In the (Netscape: View Manual Proxy Configuration menu) type the numbers exactly as you see them in this reprensentation.

Now click ok on the configuration menu, and then click ok on the Preferences menu.

To set your cache
click on Cache under Advanced and make sure the path is set to
/home/your user name/.netscape/cache
and then click ok

You should now be able to search outside USU.

To complete your netscape preferences:
cd into /home/your login/.netscape and open the
preferences.js file in a texteditor.
Run a find and replace for auto to home.
This should allow it to save your bookmarks etc.

To import your old bookmarks.html file:
click on edit bookmarks under the bookmarks pull-down menu.
Now click on the file pull-down menu and hit import.
Navigate to the bookmarks.html file and click ok.
Save as  /home/your login/.netscape/bookmarks.html
