INTRODUCTION


Our objective was to explore questions in vegetation ecology at multiple spatial scales in northwest Utah. At the large scale, we mapped locations of two rare plant species and five wildflower species. Small scale data (AVHRR) was used to calculate net primary productivity. Mid-range data (TM) was be used to classify soils. A nested approach allowed us to integrate information from these studies.
