These climate oriented GIF's of Utah were compiled by Richard W. Baker, the Utah Climate Center and the Department of Geography and Earth Resources as part of Rick's Masters Degree. These maps were generated by interpolating point specific climatic data and correcting for latitudinal and elevational variation. The original dataset presents Utah at 1 km resolution. Average deviations between actual and estimated temperatures are no more than 2 degrees C.Average temperatures in Utah range from less than -4 to over 15 degrees celcius on a year round basis. extreme temperatures are approximately -40 to 40 degrees celcius.
