Land in Utah is predominantly owned and managed by federal agencies. The GIF file below shows the distribution of land ownership. This database was generated by digitizing Bureau of Land Management (BLM) 1:100,000 land ownership maps with inputs from U.S. Forest Service maps. It is a critical layer in the National Biological Survey GAP analysis program. The following table lists the agency responsible for administrating the land and how much land they manage.
