Published Traffic and Spatial Interaction Models

  While there are relatively few published articles that deal specifically with recreational boat traffic, there is a very large body of literature that deals with models and simulations that are relevant to various aspects of the research problem. The following section is an attempt to review some trends in simulation research that have either useful components or lessons of what to avoid for creating the model in this study.
